# Product Comparisons

Manage the product properties shoppers compare side by side, and use them across Campaigns, Product Finders, and Sagent.

Choosing between similar products is where many shoppers stall. A product comparison puts the details that matter next to each other, so shoppers can see the differences at a glance instead of switching between product pages.

Product Comparisons is where you manage what gets compared. Each comparison defines which product properties appear, how they're grouped into sections, which products are included, and the labels shoppers see. You set it up once, then reuse it across your experiences, so every comparison shoppers see stays consistent.

### Where comparisons are used

* **Campaigns** - Build purpose-built comparison pages, like a dedicated page comparing your latest product line.
* **Product Finder** - Shoppers select products on the Results Page and compare them in a pop-up. See [Enable Product Comparison](/how-to-guides/product-finders/finder-editor/page-settings.md#enable-product-comparison).
* **Sagent** - Shoppers compare recommended products in a pop-up during the conversation. See [Tools](/how-to-guides/sagent/setup/tools.md#comparison-tool).

{% hint style="info" %}
Product Comparisons manages the content of a comparison. How the comparison looks and where it appears is set within each experience.
{% endhint %}

### How it works

1. Create a comparison and choose the product properties to compare.
2. Group properties into sections, like "Features" or "Dimensions."
3. Optionally filter which products the comparison includes.
4. Write the labels and descriptions shoppers see, and translate them.
5. Use the comparison in a Campaign, Product Finder, or Sagent.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.crobox.com/how-to-guides/product-comparisons.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
