How Do I Apply Product Intelligence In-Store?


Applying product intelligence in-store starts by looking at your eCommerce product data. You can find this data on your Crobox dashboard by searching for the product you would like to promote on “Discover” → “Product Search” and then select the product. Let’s look at this process step-by-step.

Step #1: Log in to the Crobox App

Log into your Crobox account. Under “Discover” select “Product Search”, use the search bar to look for the product(s) you want to promote in-store. This will bring you to its Product Profile. 

Step #2: Discover 

Scroll down to your Message Performance to see which messages drive the most impact If you are running Dynamic Messages in multiple regions, be sure to select the region relevant for promotion. Your Message Performance is data from your Dynamic Badges, which will help you determine your best-performing messages per product. 

Step #3: Choose Your Insights

Choose a high-performing message(s). These should have a positive relative impact, increased CTR, and can either be product attributes (like “Mechanical”) or behavioral nudges (like “New”). These messages are those listed at the top of the performance overview section. 

Step #4: Determine In-Store Label Design 

Determine how you are going to show these messages in-store, which means making decisions on design, color, placement, and size. 

We recommend using badges that are in line with your in-store concept and design. Shape and color are just as important as messaging. 

Consult your Crobox account team for advice on what design fits best. 

Step #5: Test In-Store Data

Once your in-store badge experiments are up and running, test against a control group. For example, you could test against a control group by selecting a store in the same region with a similar store format and measure the product sales before and after the experiment.

This means having one store where you run badge experiments and track their impact (revenue uplift, products sold, etc.), and one where you don’t have badge experiments, but track impact in a similar way, along the same period of time.
